Going Back in Time - 2011

In an effort to remember all of the happenings in our lives without spending the rest of mine updating, I'll just list important happenings by month. I'll also choose one photo to "represent" each month.

Here we go!

July
- Mom, Dad, Aunt Dixie and Uncle Matt visited us in Fort Worth. We had a great weekend, kicking it off at Joe T's and drinks at Winslows on Friday and then a lake day and a fabulous dinner by Chef Matt that evening.
- Kellye's Baby Shower for sweet Preston in West Columbia
- Hunter's Wedding in Lake Jackson
- Meeting my new ACA team -- Kim, Lesli and Robin! What blessings they are!
- We celebrated Stacy's birthday a few months early with a suprise getaway/shopping trip for her arranged by Al! She definitely deserved a break for the hectic day-to-day of being a new mom (and to twins at that). We shopped, had a fabulous dinner, and slept in Saturday morning. Bliss!

August
- Back to school! I started my new position at Arlington Classics Academy as a kindergarten teacher. One thing I learned: it is a LOT  of work to open a new campus. I am thankful for a great leadership team and wonderful co-workers!
- We attended 5th annual first Aggie football game! WHOOP!
- Happy 3rd Birthday, Ava! We were so happy to celebrate with that sweet girl.

September / October
- More football games! This was our first year of season tickets and we attended many games this year. We had a great time cheering on the Aggies, although it wasn't quite the season we had hoped for originally. Mom and Dad attended their first Aggie game, the Baylor game, with us in October.

November
- George turned 30! We were so blessed to have such a large group of friends travel to New Orleans (George's favorite city) to celebrate! We had a great weekend of eating, drinking and being very merry! the birthday boy definitely enjoyed himself! Special thanks to all who made the trip: Pete, Joanna, Al, Stacy, Van, Colleen, Theresa, Cortney, Matt, Rachel, Dom, Lindsey, Brian, Matt Scott, and Chris. What a fun group!
- Billy Wayne and Katie's Wedding in Galveston
- We hosted another Thanksgiving at our house. It's always so much fun having the whole family together!

December
- HTS Christmas Party in Houston
- I ran my second half marathon and set a new PR of 2:15. It was the first of FW Running Company's Winter Race Series.
- Christmas in Jasper with the Buckmasters
- We attended Meinke Car Car Bowl in Houston on NYE and cheered the Aggies to victory. We got to stay with Aunt Dixie and Uncle Matt, which was a nice treat!
- We attended a great NYE Party at the Crystal Ballroom at the Rice Hotel with Ben, Theresa, Van, Courtney, Kyle, Colleen, Cullen and many other Houston friends.
